This is a freshly created position within one of the largest defence manufacturers in Czech Republic. The company is growing and is currently looking for a Global Sales Director with experience in defence, security manufacturing, military equipment or similar. The majority of the sales activities have been focussed on the Czech and  Europe markets and now the drive is to develop globally.

The successful candidate will be based in the Prague office for 2-3 days per week and will be responsible for the the following areas:

  • Management of a team of traders
  • Business development
  • Coordination of marketing activities,
  • Reporting
Activities and Responsibilities:
  • He/she actively manages the team of sales representatives and back office, participates in selected key meetings where he/she supports salespeople, checks the work and workload of the sales team, the quality and speed of order execution and timely and high-quality response to requests.
  • Independently takes care of key customers, implements related orders, and actively searches for and implements other orders with these customers.
  • In cooperation with traders and partners abroad, he/she prepares and implements a business strategy on individual markets.
  • Ideas for the development of the production and business program obtained during business and other negotiations are regularly submitted to the company management and he/she ads of the relevant technical departments for assessment.
  • He/she prepares reports and consolidates the reports of individual traders and creates a comprehensive picture of the company's business activities from the point of view of both developed and implemented business orders and opportunities for the next period.
  • He/she distributes the requests received by the company to individual merchants and guarantees their processing.
  • He/she is responsible for the financial side of individual business cases, prepares or checks calculations for individual cases, guarantees correctness of payments and timely payment of obligations by customers.
  • He/she is responsible for the correctness of data intended for cash-flow preparation.
Experienced sales director, ideally with experience in the sale of security material / military material in the Czech Republic (to the Czech Armed Forces and the Police) and abroad
Experienced in public tenders’ activities and processes

Clean criminal history record
Flexible, independent, communicative, internally organized, consistent and loyal
Managerial experience, leading team of at least 5 subordinates on international level
Great market monitoring and sales planning skills combined with excellent sales attributes
Czech / Slovak language skills are must, English language is necessary due to the global scope,
Driver’s license, PC skills
