Description

 The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for leading and coordination of business activities in the area of BULGARIA. In this respect, ASM is the Head of the Local Sales Team. ASM contributes to the development and execution of business strategies by identifying and executing sales plans and driving initiatives to support the company vision, mission, and business plan.
Within the Global Organization of HUMAN NUTRITION Division, the ASM Bulgaria reports to Area Sales Director Southeast Europe (SEE)
 
Main responsibilities:
  • Sales activities within local market (commercial tasks at existing and new customers within food and nutritional ingredients application)
  • Leading and coordination of local Team of Human Nutrition div.
  • Own New Business Development: acquiring NEW CUSTOMERS and further growing business with existing customers
  • Technical & commercial cooperation with foreign suppliers
  • Increasing sales by cooperating with internal Product/ Principal Managers in creating and realising product promoting development strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Processing data from entrusted region as a basis for a business plan creation.
  • Monthly Reporting within the HN Div.
  • Ensuring proper usage of CRM system by the entire Sales Team
  • Providing support to local sales colleagues for Key Accounts (active visits to selected clients, information about products, feedback to the requirements coming from the commercial branch etc.)
  • Monitoring and analyses of the market, developing trends and creating new business opportunities
  • Monthly sales planning, performance and plan fulfilment monitoring, making corrective actions
  • Monitoring of payment discipline and enforcement of claims
 
Main requirements:
  • Fulfilment of assumed individual sales targets in Food and Nutritional Ingredients segment
  • Strong knowledge of the given segment within the Bulgarian Food and Nutritional Ingredients segment
  • Native Bulgarian, fluent in English
  • Min. 10 years’ experience in the given market segment from both Key Account management and business development, managing experience min. 5 years in a leadership position
  • Proven track record of business development and project management
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experienced, leads by example, supports his colleagues and team members, and motivates them to overachieve their goals and targets
  • Strong selling and business development skills
  • Excellent customer network with strong personal contacts and relationships in place
  • Personality: sales result driven – hunting for new business, convincing presentation, ability to close the deal, open to new things, looking for continuous improvement, willingness to travel for meeting customers and suppliers
  • Driving license
  • IT: Office – Excel, Power Point etc.
  • Education – University degree of FOOD Technology Processing or Economy, alternatively MBA 
  • Initiative – to take independent actions and calculated risks; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; asks for and offers help when needed
