Junior IT Support Technician in Prague
As the Junior IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for supporting 35 users in Prague with general maintenance of defined computer equipment and resolving any identified technical problems for commercial and domestic customers.
Responsibilities for the Junior IT Support Technician role:
Software Support

• Instalation and support of Windows 7/10
• Instalation and support of Microsoft Office 2013/2016 products
• Make software available to appropriate users where requested
• Ensure the anti-virus software (Sophos) is installed, kept up to date and working properly on all customers stations, where appropriate
• providing 1st and 2nd Line IT Support
• Documentation of actions and findings
• Communication with users throughout process
• Escalation of problem where appropriate
• Set up of user accounts
• Proactive support - on-going maintenance and monitoring of systems in accordance with appropriate plans.
• Ensure the anti-virus software is installed, kept up to date and working properly on all customers stations, where appropriate
• Provide troubleshooting resolution and updating/upgrading of software to customers
• Bet he first person to check the ticket assigned to IT group, then delegate the ticket
• Provide troubleshooting resolution and updating/upgrading of software to users.
Hardware Support
• Maintain users computer peripheral equipment, as requested
• Keep a log of all technical faults (Support log)
• Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty or maintenance contract
• Provide troubleshooting resolution and updating/upgrading of hardware to users
• Assist with and provide support/troubleshooting for server hardware
• Maintain printers and cartridges
Network Management
• Check the network back up daily for maintenance
• Set up, maintain and remove user network accounts where appropriate
• Carry out routine network maintenance tasks
• A passion for IT and technology
Office Administration
• Maintain IT stock for office
• Delegate order office stationary where necessary
• Delegate order of computers for customers
• Ordering of ink cartridges and toners
• Checking deliveries on arrival into the office
