Our prominent client, an international financial services group engaged primarily in retail, commercial and investment banking is currently seeking experienced Test Engineers to join its dynamic Prague test team of 6 within a front office development team. You will be mainly involved in building and executing test plans for the testing of company’s software, adhering to the highest professional standards and guidelines at all times.
On this position you will actively participate hands-on on the testing tools creation, assist and contribute to the preparation and approval of the test plans and test scripts, ensure the highest quality and accuracy is maintained throughout the entire software projects, provide constructive and concise feedback to relevant development teams in Prague and London, provide and participate in estimation, and provide clear and accurate test documentation. Your will be also a part of full testing lifecycle responsibilities (such as: requirements-design and review, test case design and review, defect tracking and verification) and maintenance of test cases and scripts.
Main requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Proven experience of testing complex systems, within software development projects involving a team of 5 and more
- Knowledge of software testing, proven design & implementation track record
- Good knowledge of script programming languages (VBA, Python, Perl, SQL, XSLT,
etc.)
- Exposure to test automation
- Experience with Test Management tools, e.g. Test Director / Quality Centre
- Experience with Defect Management and SCM systems tool, e.g. Jira, Perforce
- Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work, results driven personality
- Analytical skills (problem analysis & trouble shooting)
- Proven experience with testing on system and integration levels
Advantage would be:
- Degree or post-graduate degree in technical, mathematical or financial discipline
- Relevant software testing qualification (ISEB or equivalent ISTQB)
- Investment banking expertise
- Experience of programming languages (C#, C++, Java)
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows Sever administration
