Business Analyst. Prague based
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support the competitor intelligence process by collecting and analysing business environment, market segment and competitor data from various sources; collate that analysis into well-written, easily understood reports and presentations for both internal senior analyst personnel and senior executives; and develop electronic tools necessary for tracking and reporting data collection and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Gather significant and continuous information about the relevant competitor environment, including broad trends in global and regional markets, business and industry markets, and market competition.
Help plan competitive intelligence activities by preparing a tailored plan for various analytic initiatives to be used as the central instrument for directing and coordinating the intelligence gathering and analysis effort. Present the prepared plan to senior analyst personnel and senior leadership when requested.
Using all available data, assist in the development of competitive analysis processes and perform relevant analytical activities with respect to identifying market discriminators and positioning indicators for selected markets, evaluating the positions of the major competitors in the market, identifying new market developments and evaluating the effectiveness of new and existing market strategies.
Work directly with senior analyst personnel to incorporate opportunity/market intelligence into capture plans, presentations and competitor assessments.
Maintain research tools used for competitive intelligence, analysis and data capture activities.
Exhibit excellent skills in teamwork in terms of facilitation, interpersonal communication and organisation.
Skill set:
Bachelors Degree in a business or related field.
2+ years experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or strategic planning
Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and Project; communications devices; overhead devices.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Fluency in English
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
