For a IT development centre in Prague of a large international company providing financial transaction services (covering the full value chain of trading, clearing, settlement and market data), we are currently looking for Application Support Specialists.
On this position you will:
- Participate in support and maintenance of our UNIX/LINUX and infrastructure environment
- Provide support to both internal and external users of the system
- Ensure existing standards, procedures and tools are always up-to-date despite ongoing changes on the company IT applications
- Provide clear, regular and consistent reporting to other members of the team
Requirements:
- University degree in Information Technology or comparable experience in IT business
Technical skills in one or more of the following domains are a valuable asset:
o Good Linux knowledge
o Knowledge in middleware architecture (Websphere MQ)
o Knowledge of system programming (shell scripting, PERL, etc.)
o Knowledge in Configuration Management tools & processes
The following inter-personal skills are essential:
o Good communication skills
o Customer focused
o Fluent in spoken and written English, German is of an advantage
o Excellent team spirit, but also capable of working independently
o Highly committed to challenging deadlines, curious and motivated
o Used to take initiatives to resolve problems
o Willingness to work abroad (Europe) for the first project (up to 6 month)
o Willingness to work in shifts (07:00 - 22:00)
